Description

MUST High Temp Silicone Gasket Maker WHITE is a single component, room temperature, vulcanizing, gasketing compound designed to provide reliable “formed-in-place” gaskets for mechanical assemblies. This material cures on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. The product resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking. Designed to provide increased oil resistance and complies with extended warranty requirements.

Application

1. Remove any previous gasketing materials from mating surfaces.

2. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of loose materials, dust, grease, rust and other contaminants.

3. Remove the cap from the tube and pierce the seal with reverse side of cap. Attach extension nozzle which can be cut to desired bead width.

4. Apply a continuous bead of silicone to mating parts, making sure to surround all bolt holes.

5. Assemble parts and allow to cure. Material dries tack free within 3-10 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours.

6. After use allow excess sealant to extend beyond extension nozzle to cure. To reuse, remove the cured plug from tip of extension nozzle.

 

Storage

When stored in the original unopened containers at or below 90°F (32°C), it has a shelf life of 12 months from date of production.

In Countries where high heat and humidity are a factor, special precautions must be taken. Store product in a covered, well-ventilated warehouse and avoid excessive heat conditions. Storage in high heat, high humidity conditions may reduce shelf life by up to 30%.
