Description

MUST General Purpose Silicone is a general purpose, one-component, non-sag, elastomeric, RTV acetoxy silicone sealant with good adhesion characteristics for general sealing and bonding applications.

Areas of Use

Specially designed for sealant joints between most nonporous materials.  An ideal solution for customers who need the technical advantages of silicone, but do not demand specific performance criteria. Typical Substrates:  Glass, aluminum, tile, fiberglass, plastic, ceramic, wood, steel etc   

Application

1. Clean and dry surfaces. Remove all oil and grease.

2. Use masking tape each side of joint to simplify clean up, to protect surfaces and to ensure a neat job.                                                                                         3. Cut snub nose above threads, reattach and cut nozzle to desired size. Insert into a caulking gun.

4. Extrude sealant with a smooth, steady motion, and ensure complete fill of joint cavity before proceeding.

5. Tool the sealant immediately after application and before a skin forms. Remove masking tape immediately after tooling.

Storage

When stored at or below 25°C MUSTSTIL General Purpose Silicone has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture. All materials should be stored out of direct sunlight
