MUST valve grinding compound coarse and fine, are grinding pastes based on water soluble synthetic oil and corundum abrasives. Both components come together in one can with two separate chambers and openings. The coarse paste is used for pre-grinding and the fine paste is used to achieve the desired surface finish. Both coarse and fine compounds are easy to use, do not run off the surfaces to be ground and can, as they are water-soluble, be easily rinsed off the components after grinding.

Application Aeras

MUST valve grinding compound coarse and fine, is mainly used for grinding valve seas but may also be used for grinding other components such as ball valves, cock plugs etc.

 

Application

Before application stir both compounds, fine and coarse, to achieve a homogenous paste. If required, water may be added to thin down the compound.

 

Practice

For the first step use the coarse paste for grinding the parts to achieve nearly the desired valve seat. The second step requires the fine paste to achieve the desired surface finish and the exact valve seat. After the grinding operation, rinse parts with plenty of water to remove all residual grinding compound and dry parts by using pressurised air.

 

Shelf life

When stored at or below 25℃ MUST valve grinding compound coarse and fine has a shelf life of 36 months from date of manufacture. All materials should be stored out of direct sunlight.
