Description:
MUST NO MORE NAILS is a multi‐purpose, rubber based construction adhesive in mild solvents, that can replace mechanical fixings in a wide variety of domestic, commercial and industrial applications. It can be used in all weather conditions and is suitable for rough and porous surfaces. It has good low temperature resistance for freezers and cold applications. This product is toluene free.

Features
- Bonds to most surfaces                        - High modulus                          - Easy gunning Fast curing
- Interior/Exterior                                      - Bonds immediately on contact

Application
- General purpose construction.
- As a contact adhesive for the installation of wall and floor panels.
- Metal, timber & other sheets of plan materials to concrete, plaster or other rigid surfaces
- Most bonding applications where high strength, gap filling one component adhesive is required.
- Timber, metal, cementitious and plaster sheets to timber or metal studs.
- Installation of battens or other fixings to brick, masonry or concrete walls.
- Suitable to use on foamed polystyrene.

Limitations
- Will not bond polyethylene or Teflon.
- At least one substrate surface should be permeable material such as wood, cement or plasterboard. This allows the adhesive to reach full cure by solvent release over several days. If both substrates are impermeable materials such a metal, full bond strength development may be quite slow.
- Do not bond to painted or coated surfaces as the solvent in the product may weaken the coating.
- Not recommended for vinyl or substrates that will be covered with vinyl wallpaper
- Not suitable as a structural laminating adhesive or where structural loads are concentrated.
- Not to be used as a substitute for mechanical fixings where specified by the manufacturer/supplier of the building material/system.
- Always test prior to bonding with this product Plasticiser migration can occur with some PVC materials.
- Veneer plywood can be affected by solvent soaking through the ply causing bubbling of the veneer.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Pretreatment Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean and free of dust, grease or oil. Surfaces should not be continuously damp. One surface must be porous to ensure a solid, secure bond because water has to evaporate for the bond to take effect. In the case of very water-adsorbent substrates such as gypsum, MDF, chipboard (not OSB), clay-brick, it is possible that the glue dries too quickly along the outer perimeter of the application, and the interior of the application does not form a proper bond. To have proper bond on very absorbent surfaces, wet the surface with a spray bottle or wet cloth before gluing. For two non-absorbent, or water-sensitive surfaces use Pattex 100% Glue or Gel. To remove adhesive residue of separating agents on PU made decorative panels, use abrasive paper or solvents like acetone before applying Pattex No More Nails.

Direction of Use
Apply using a standard sealant gun with the nozzle cut at an angle of 45°, and to an opening slightly larger than the joint to be sealed. Apply a 6mm bead (or thicker to suit gap) in a zig zag along one length of the item to be fixed. Press into place and apply an even pressure on the entire surface, leave to cure for 48 hours.Temporary support or fixings are recommended on very heavy items whilst curing.
Bracing or additional mechanical fastening is recommended for ceiling or heavy wall panels while the adhesive develops full strength. When bonding foam to ceiling additional mechanical fastenings are to be used.

Clean Up
Remove uncured (wet) adhesive with Mineral turpentine or scraper. Cured adhesive is best removed by mechanical scraping or sanding. Use Bostik Handy Wipe towels to remove adhesive from skin.
